school days coffee card

Happy Wednesday crafty peeps!  I still haven't managed to clean my craft desk, so I still have lots of pieces floating around... so today's card uses some scraps from yesterday's project and is inspired by the new MFT Card Challenges sketch.  I'm fairly confident you can connect the dots on the train of thought...  (more pep talks?).  My card uses MFT tag and coffee cup dies, an assortment of misc papers, a wood veneer from my stash...

this girl runs on....

More coffee love.... if you could see my craft space you'd know that I tend to circle back to the same themes b/c I never put anything away... so I can't help but reach for coffee stamps, they're right in front of me!  Today's card is inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch, I tried multiple different ways to add the second layer and it's amazing how less always appeals to me...  It's a fun exercise.

let's get together for coffee!

Happy Monday!  This week's PTI Make It Monday is to use your cover plate with your tags-- totally up my alley.  The word spray adhesive in the video was probably the best tip (although I'm still coughing from some operator error).  I've used a number of pieces from a series of crafty attempts, not sure I love the final result, but it's Monday-- time to get out the door!  I've used a PTI sentiment, tag, hexagon cover plate and stencil.  I've used Lawn Fawn coffee cups and a smaller MFT tag die, all PTI papers and some Twinery twine and emobssing paste.  Thanks Coffee Lovers for the sketch.

the adventures begins

The adventure begins...  actually the adventure already began (talking about the little campground project of ours), but the Hero Arts sentiment seemed like a good fit for this card.... (notice the uphill slant?).  I used the Retro Sketches as my inspiration.  I've used an Avery Elle trailer, Hero Arts sentiment and trees, PTI tag and patterned paper and a MFT border die.  Happy Sunday folks, I'm off for a walk and then back to the delightfully busy motel world of mine.

speedy recovery

My cousin's husband was hit by a car while riding his bike this week, so I made this card and tag thinking of him.  He is going to make a full recovery, but he's got a punctured lung and 2 cracked ribs and is feeling thankful that it wasn't worse.  I used the CAS(E) this sketch as my source of inspiration.  Hero Arts bicycle and trees, Avery Elle sentiment, Lil Inker Dual Sided Border die, MFT tag die, PTI die cut....

roughing it

Happy Thursday crafty friends.  For those of you who follow me and my antics, you probably got the update that my husband and I built and opened a campground this summer... check it out, the Inn Town Campground.  So today's card, inspired by the MFT Sketch Challenge and their tent stamp, is a nod to my in-real-life campground with glamping tents, see photo above by my friend Kial James.

thank you for you pillowbox

{thank you for you} really that says it all, right?  The clear pillow box from Reverse Confetti is a fun canvas (I also have a weak spot for vellum, so there must something about transparency that I need in my life).  I went for CAS on this project, a Verve coffee cup, PTI sentiment, May Arts ribbon, doily I stole from work...  it's fairly warm here in California, but I'm getting excited about the idea of fall.  Today's project was inspired by the current Mojo Monday sketch.

set your own path

Anyone interested in the path to this card?  The Hero Arts video on white satin embossing powder made me realize that while I thought I didn't like it (I thought it was white when I bought it), that if you use it on colored card stock there are a lot more uses...  And then I follow the fabulous duo in the orange VW bus on IG, the Idle Bus Theory and was thinking of all the fabulous adventures out there who maybe will come visit our campground?  How's that for a Tuesday train of thought?

you can do it, feel better friend

You know how I've said before that I make pep talks for myself sometimes through my greeting cards?  Can you read between the lines on today's cards?  I have the worst head cold and am walking around like a zombie and off to work...  The top card uses the CAS(E) this sketch challenge and the bottom card is for the the PTI Create with Us (inspired by this card).  I'm not in love with either of these projects, but I get a sense of completion out of posting them, so check... now let's see if I can make it through the rest of my day without sneezing all over my guests?

thanks so much tag

Two cards for two sketch challenges, the top one is for MFT Sketch, I used a MFT die, Altenew blooms and a Verve sentiment.  The second card is for Retro Sketches... and the sad thing is that I made this card and then forgot to give it to the fabulous new person named Otis (he's only a week old, so he'll probably forgive me).
