you're pretty darn amazing

Happy Sunday!  I've got a couple of cards this morning.  This first card is for the Ellen Hutson Pin Inspired Challenge (the theme is Aqua), so I combined an Ellen Hutson coffee cup with some MFT amazing goodies (which I have to return to their rightful owner this morning) and a Reverse Confetti die, to get the gradient aqua background I used a marker and then covered it with a PTI printed vellum.  My second card is for the MFT color challenge, I've got to tell you I don't like these color together at all.  I kept thinking I could make it (and another project) work and truth be known I'm not a fan.  And my final project is for the PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge, one of the stamps featured today is the You've Been Framed Hexagon set, which I have and I think I may have used, but it's not in the normal circulation of goodies and I don't have the coordinating cover plate (but I do for one of the other sets).  So to get around that I made one with MFT dies and PTI Kraft patterned paper.  Wishing everyone a lovely day, there's a parade in our town today if anyone's looking for something to do.

Hope your day is Fabulous

Happy Saturday crafty friends!  Playing along with some more challenges... the first card is for the PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge and while I don't have any of the stamps they featured in today's post, I drew inspiration from Laura's amazing card-- always fun to add a little color to embossing paste.  The sentiment for the butterfly card is from the PTI Uncorked set.  And while I was trying to figure out how I wanted to color my butterfly, I got a little splatter happy, so I made the card below with a new MFT sentiment (that my friend ordered, I'm just using it before she picks up her stamps).

And my final card is for the MFT Sketch Challenge, I used their new Uncorked stamp and dies, the stitched rectangle dies and a paterened paper from PTI (did anyone else go a little crazy on their PTI pre-anniversary paper sale?).  Wishing everyone a fabulous holiday weekend, I've got some crafty time today, so I might be back with more....

birthday wishes

Birthday wishes... playing along with another PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge inspired by Cristina's card, I don't have any of the sets Nichole used in today's post, so I used a MFT leaf on this card with a PTI sentiment and PTI inks- love the combo of simply chartreuse, ocean tides, terracotta tile and enchanted evening.  Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend.

just for you....smile

Sometimes I have to break out of my norm and go simple... it's funny b/c I think of my friend Lynn who's amazing with so little.  So I look at this and think, "It needs more, another layer, another stamp, a die cut..."  And no.  I think today I'm going to try to walk away from the simple card and be okay with it.  And honestly the PTI Past, Present, Future challenges have had me digging through stamps I've been neglected and this sentiment is soooooooo much easier to work with with the Misti.  Who knew!  Another card to add to my stash of pick me ups for my friend going through chemo.

snow tag

How can I resist spending a bunch of time digging, digging, digging through my stash to find the penguin for today's PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge?  (I need help in organization!).  I've used PTI papers and dies and used an igloo from Neat and Tangled and May Arts ribbon.  Happy Wednesday crafty peeps!

you warm my heart

Happy Valentine's Day!  Two quick cards this morning, the top card is for the CAS(E) this sketch challenge, using a combination of goodies (MFT dies, Neat and Tangled sentiment and Simon Says coffee cup).  The second card is for the next PTI Past, Present, Future Challenge, I was inspired by Maile's card.  Wishing everyone a fabulous day.

feel better soon

Today's PTI Past, Present, Future challenge includes one of my favorite PTI sets-- On My Couch, I forgot how fabulous some of the sentiments are!  I've got a friend going through chemo at the moment, so I keep filling her mailbox with fun lighthearted cards, so I'll add this to this week's stash.

happy birthday card

Happy Birthday card (I always need more of these-- that and thank you cards).  Playing along with another day of the PTI Past, Present and Future fun, inspired by this card.  I used the PTI Traveler's Journal patterned paper for the background, love the idea of a map instead of the script.

belated birthday cheers

Happy Saturday!  PTI is having their anniversary fun and today's challenge was to find inspiration from the cards shared (showcasing early PTI sets).  I found inspiration in Laurie's card.  I think I should probably make all my birthday cards with belated sentiments....
